Microgaming Restructures as Independent Studio Network Surpasses 60 Partners

Microgaming, the Isle of Man-based supplier that pioneered the online casino industry's first software platform in 1994, has confirmed that its independent studio partnership network has surpassed 60 active partners — a milestone that underlines the dramatic transformation of the company's business model over the past seven years.

The studio network model, which Microgaming introduced in 2019, sees independent game development studios create content that is distributed exclusively or semi-exclusively through Microgaming's platform and operator network. The model effectively transforms Microgaming from a game developer into a publishing and distribution platform — with the company providing the regulatory approvals, distribution infrastructure, and marketing amplification that independent studios could not access on their own.

Current studio partners include All41 Studios, Triple Edge Studios, Northern Lights Gaming, and more than 55 others. Combined, the partner network has released over 500 titles through the Microgaming platform since the model launched.

"We made a bold decision in 2019 to transform what Microgaming is. Seven years later, the results speak for themselves. We have more creative talent, more diverse content, and more operator relationships than at any point in our history," said Microgaming CEO Andrew Clucas.

Microgaming said it now processes over 10 billion game transactions per month across its platform — a figure that includes both partner studio content and its own proprietary titles including Mega Moolah, which continues to be one of the most played progressive jackpot games in the industry.

The company also confirmed a major platform upgrade programme set for completion in Q4 2026 that it says will "materially improve" loading times and API response rates for its operator partners.
