Paysafe Extends Real-Time Settlement to Latin American iGaming 2026

Paysafe has activated real-time settlement capabilities for licensed iGaming operators across three major Latin American markets, addressing one of the region's most persistent payment friction points.

The infrastructure went live on October 17 with initial support for Mexican Pesos, Brazilian Reals, and Colombian Pesos. Player withdrawals initiated through the Paysafe network now settle in local banking accounts within 120 minutes, compared to the 24-48 hour standard across most of the region.

The solution leverages regional bank partnerships, particularly integration with Banco Itaú's network in Brazil and Mexico's coordinated clearing system, to compress settlement cycles. Paysafe manages currency conversion and liquidity positioning on behalf of operators, absorbing the traditional intermediary delays that plagued prior payment models.

Operators onboarded to the system reported 18-22% improvements in player retention metrics during beta testing, driven primarily by faster withdrawal confirmation driving repeat play. Players in Latin America traditionally face limited payment speed options; the new capability directly addresses complaints that have driven players to offshore platforms with faster settlement.

The rollout is phased, with full operator availability expected by November 15, 2026. Operators in Argentina and Peru expressed interest in expansion; Paysafe indicated those markets are under evaluation pending regulatory coordination.

Local regulatory bodies in Brazil and Mexico have explicitly welcomed the development, viewing faster settlement as player protection infrastructure. The Latin American iGaming Association noted that regional payment speed parity with North American and European markets strengthens the legitimacy of licensed operators versus unregulated competitors.
