SBC Summit Malta 2026 Preview: Regulation, Sports Betting and B2B Technology Lead the Agenda

SBC Summit Malta 2026 takes place April 28–30 at the InterContinental Malta, bringing together an expected 6,000 operators, regulators, technology suppliers, and affiliates from across the global iGaming sector. The event, organised by SBC (Sports Betting Community), has established itself as one of the key spring gatherings on the iGaming calendar, with a particular focus on the European and Mediterranean markets.

Following a successful 2025 rebrand, SBC Summit Malta recorded 20% attendee growth and a 21.4% rise in company representation — clear signals of its growing importance as a senior-level commercial event. Operators represent nearly 47% of participants, giving the show floor one of the highest buyer-to-exhibitor ratios of any iGaming event.

The three-day format is structured with purpose: Day 1 focuses on strategic learning across product, marketing, affiliation, operations, and compliance. Day 2 translates that learning into practice through interactive workshops, with two additional workshop rooms running across both days.

Confirmed speakers include executives from Casumo, Hero Gaming, Flutter UKI, Entain, Superbet Group, Betfred, and the Malta Gaming Authority. The MGA's Kinga Warda (Chief Officer of Policy & International Affairs) is among the confirmed speakers and is expected to address the Authority's regulatory priorities for the remainder of 2026.

For Malta-based companies, the event offers a particularly cost-effective opportunity to involve team members across all departments — including those who do not typically travel to international events.

Money20/20 Asia 2026 closed Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on April 23 with record attendance of 4,500+, a stablecoin-dominant exhibitor floor — where 17% of all exhibitors focused primarily on stablecoin cross-border payments — and sessions from KASIKORNBANK, Ant International, Tencent, and J.P. Morgan that mapped how Asia's payment infrastructure is being rebuilt around AI and blockchain rails. For iGaming operators serving Southeast Asian markets, the conference crystallised where the next generation of player payment options is being built.
